Miss Northern International
Founder Statement



 

During my years directing four states for a top-tier scholarship organization, a court of six was crowned each year. Seeking to create more opportunities for deserving participants at Miss Northern International, I introduced the Service Excellence Queens. As a result, 18 queens were celebrated at last year’s Miss Northern International Global Finals. Service and kindness have always been core values in my life, and I believe it is essential to champion these qualities at Miss Northern International. They are the foundation of our program, guided by our motto: Kindness First Always.

 

What truly sets Miss Northern International apart is our unwavering commitment to recognizing exceptional service and kindness. Each year, we honor the reigning Miss Northern International Global Queens and offer a select few the rare opportunity to serve a second year as Service Excellence Global Queen—a distinguished honor. Our standards also apply to the family members of reigning queens. Those who have served for two years as a MNI Global Queen, leading with kindness and service, graduate into the esteemed Legacy Queen program.

 

At this year’s Miss Northern International Global Finals, we will welcome five new Service Excellence Queens to our family! To be considered, you must participate in service initiatives representing Miss Northern International—whether in your crown, sash, or holding a Kindness First Always sign. Please remember to time stamp your community service work on social media. Reflect on the impact you are making in your community, the lives you have touched, your engagement with Miss Northern International and your sister queens, and your ongoing commitment to leading with kindness. You may also submit supporting documentation from local organizations to share your story of service and kindness. If you believe you exemplify the values of a Miss Northern International Service Excellence Queen, there is an optional application process.
