​MISS NORTHERN INTERATIONAL STATE PAGEANT

Welcome to Miss Northern International, where the power of kindness and sisterhood comes together to create meaningful change in our communities. Our delegates and queens are dedicated to achieving personal excellence while engaging in impactful service projects that uplift and inspire those around them—all guided by our principle: Kindness First Always. Participating in the MNI State Pageant offers you the chance to earn your state title, which includes the custom crown and sash, leading to the Miss Northern International Global Finals from November 13-15, 2025, at the Ohio Event Center in Newark, Ohio. The state pageant will crown Miss Ohio and Miss Midwest. There is also a Sweetheart Pageant, providing a valuable practice opportunity for girls and women as they prepare for future events. Feedback from our professional judges panel will be shared within 7-10 business days following the event.

MISS NORTHERN INTERNATIONAL ELIGIBILITY RULES

The date of November 1, 2026, determines the competing age for each delegate. You must be a citizen of the United States or Canada, a natural born female, have an exceptional and upstanding character, and uphold the kindness first always philosophy. Additional qualifying factors for age divisions: 

Miss Division Ages 20-30 (never married)

Mrs. Division Ages 21+ (married)

Ms. Division Ages 21+ (an unmarried woman that uses this title) 

 

As a paid team member at Miss Northern International, it is imperative to understand that your family members are strictly prohibited from competing as a contestant at the MNI Global finals. This rule does not apply to the Sweetheart Practice Pageants. However, volunteers and sponsors are fully eligible to participate in all events.

​​​​JUDGES MEET & GREET: This is an opportunity to engage with the judges and convey who you are, your commitment to kindness and community service. Make the most of this chance to showcase your passion and dedication!​ You can provide a brief introduction to present to the judges. A bio sheet is not required.

CASUAL WEAR: Get ready for an exciting on-stage modeling event! It’s your time to shine and showcase your favorite casual wear outfit. Bring your unique style and modeling skills to this vibrant and fun occasion.

EVENING GOWN: Delegates are invited to shine in a breathtaking floor-length gown that reflects their unique style and personality, embodying grace and elegance. A Tiny Princess delegate may choose to wear a knee length cupcake-style dress. It is essential for every delegate to select a gown that inspires confidence and showcases their poise throughout this esteemed event.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT: Community service and giving back are the beating heart of Miss Northern International! Here, we embrace the motto "Kindness First, Always!" Our sisterhood thrives on collaboration, uniting to undertake meaningful service projects that leave a lasting, positive impact! Together, let's spread joy and make a difference!​ The official service project will by posted by January 1, 2026.

​A. MOST PHOTOGENIC: ​​Step into the spotlight with our captivating photogenic competition, where you have the chance to be crowned the Most Photogenic! To participate, simply submit a dazzling professional headshot that showcases your unique charm and personality. Our esteemed panel of judges will be on the lookout for elements such as personality, fashion sense, confidence, beauty, lighting, creativity, and composition. The top five contestants with the highest scores will be honored with an award in the Junior and Senior Divisions. B. MODELING PORTFOLIO:  Prepare to unveil your professional modeling portfolio, an inspiring testament to your talent and creativity. Your portfolio should showcase a diverse array of photographs that reflect your unique modeling abilities. Present your work in a tasteful printed format within a stylish portfolio binder. The portfolio. Judges will thoughtfully assess each submission and the top five contestants with the highest scores will be honored with an award in the Junior and Senior Divisions.

C. FUN FASHION: This is an exciting opportunity to dazzle the audience with your high-fashion ensemble! Step onto the stage with confidence and flair, showcasing your exquisite modeling skills. this is a fun and vibrant event allowing your personality to shine through! The top five contestants with the highest scores will be honored with an award in the Junior and Senior Divisions.

D. FITNESS: Are you ready to shine on the runway at the fitness competition? Wear your most vibrant fitness outfit with tennis shoes to infuse energy into this walking routine! The top five contestants with the highest scores will be honored with an award in the Junior and Senior Divisions.

E. HEART OF SERVICE SPOKESMODEL:  Giving back isn’t just an act; it’s a responsibility we all share. It’s in the small acts – whether volunteering at a local food bank, organizing neighborhood clean-ups, and so much more that a positive difference is made. Why do you have a heart for service? Prepare a 90 second speech about why community service and giving back is important to you and how you are making a positive difference. The overall winner in each division will be recognized with an award.

​​AUCTION EVENT 

Miss Northern International is thrilled to host an exciting auction event dedicated to expanding our fundraising efforts, which play a crucial role in providing opportunities for girls in foster care or those who may lack the financial means to engage in pageantry. While contributing a donation is not a requirement, we would be incredibly grateful for your support. Unleash your creativity with delightful ideas, such as a family game night basket that includes timeless classics like Monopoly and Scrabble along with a selection of delicious snacks like popcorn, candy, and cookies. Consider crafting a pet lover’s basket, brimming with toys, treats, and comfy accessories designed for furry companions or a beauty-themed package overflowing with pampering essentials, including skincare products, fragrant lotions, and relaxing bath items.  Additionally, stylish purses or adorable backpacks packed with vibrant, kid-friendly items, such as fun coloring books, toys, and games. Please make sure to turn in your donation at registration on March 7, 2026. Your contributions can have a lasting impact, and together we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these deserving girls! The auction winners will be announced at this event.

This agreement ensures that Matti Pearl Patches is the only producer of all Miss Northern International swag and apparel, including t-shirts, hats, and other merchandise designed specifically for our organization. As such, families and contestants are strictly prohibited from producing their own MNI items to maintain brand consistency and quality. The MNI collection includes trendy designs and essential pieces that reflect the spirit of Miss Northern International. ​MISS NORTHERN INTERNATIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP RULES

Miss Northern State International is a natural scholarship pageant system, and we encourage everyone to showcase their natural beauty. You have the flexibility to style your hair and makeup as you wish. However, we recommend that the Baby, Tiny, Jr. Princess, and Princess delegates avoid heavy makeup. Light makeup and hair extensions are permitted in the younger divisions.

 

DRESSING ROOM 

There are absolutely no males allowed in the dressing room.  No photos or videos are allowed in the dressing room.  Curling irons, flat irons, or any hot hair tools are only permitted in the restroom areas.  Steamers are allowed in the dressing room.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​OFFICIAL PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP STYLISTS

Stylists are reviewed and approved by Miss Northern International. Outside sources are not allowed on-site in the event space. The approved stylist list will be posted by January 1, 2026.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​EVENT ADMISSION TO SHOWS 

Admission for the Miss Northern International State and Sweetheart Pageant is $25. Cash, PayPal, and Venmo accepted at the door pending seat availability. Children 5 and under are free admission. If you are visiting royalty from any system and are wearing your sash admission is only $15 for this event.

At Miss Northern International, our guiding principle is “Kindness First, Always!” We are more than just a pageant; we are a vibrant sisterhood dedicated to uplifting and supporting one another. We hold our contestants and their families to the highest standards of morals and ethics, fostering an environment where respect and positivity flourish. Every contestant, parent, and guest are expected to embody kindness in all interactions. Disrespectful behavior—such as negative comments or bullying—will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the event. Should you encounter any difficulties, we encourage you to reach out to the Owner and Director of Miss Northern International or a member of our MNI team for support. Together, let us create a space where every girl and woman can thrive! We are here to empower one another and celebrate our successes. PEOPLE'S CHOICE

Get ready for an exciting People's Choice vote featuring all of the State Pageant contestants. The contestant who receives the highest overall votes will be honored as the People's Choice winner.

JUDGES AND SCORING PROCESS

The professional panel of judges is refreshed annually for the Miss Northern International State Pageant and Sweetheart Pageant events, ensuring a dynamic and fair evaluation process. Each judge scores independently, and the tabulation software is managed by a Judges Chairman to accurately determine the winners. If a judge has a personal connection with a delegate, they are required to waive their right to judge, and the scoring will rely on an average from the remaining judges. The Miss Northern International Founder enforces rigorous ethical standards to guarantee that the judging process remains consistent, fair, and equitable at all times.

MISS NORTHERN INTERNATIONAL CROWNING

The contestant who achieves the highest score in each division will be celebrated as 2026 State Queen or Sweetheart Queen. The top three state finalists in each division will be recognized with an award.
