Welcome to Miss Northern International, where Kindness, Leadership, and Sisterhood inspire excellence. At MNI, we empower individuals through kindness, leadership, sisterhood, and meaningful community service. We believe true beauty is reflected in character, compassion, and the positive impact we make in others' lives. Guided by our founding principle, “Kindness First Always,” we strive to create an environment where girls and women embrace their individuality, pursue personal excellence, develop lifelong friendships, and become confident leaders in their communities.

Our organization proudly serves the United States, Canada, and the Bahamas, bringing together girls and women committed to service, personal growth, and making a difference. Through meaningful community involvement, leadership opportunities, and lasting connections, we encourage each queen to use her voice, talents, and influence to inspire positive change. ​Our pageant program offers opportunities to earn prestigious titles, scholarships, and recognition awards that celebrate dedication, achievement, leadership, and service, all while supporting each queen’s future aspirations.

More than a pageant, Miss Northern International is a sisterhood built upon purpose, integrity, encouragement, compassion, and kindness. We are committed to creating an experience that extends far beyond the stage one that inspires our queens to lead with kindness, serve with purpose, and leave a lasting legacy in the communities they represent. Together, we celebrate the extraordinary difference that kindness can make one individual, one act of service, and one community at a time.

 

To advance to the Miss Northern International Global Finals, taking place September 4–6, 2027, you have two options: compete in the State Pageant, open to all regions, or sign up directly for the finals and accept an appointed title. The State Pageant will crown the following titles: Ohio, Kentucky, Midwest, and Southern States. Additional titles may be added by MNI based on regional participation received by February 15, 2027.

The Sweetheart Pageant serves as a practice event, offering contestants a valuable opportunity to gain experience. Written feedback from our panel of professional judges will be provided within 7–10 business days.

ON-STATE INTRODUCTION & QUESTION:

The on-stage introduction and question replace the traditional private interview. This competition gives contestants the opportunity to showcase their personality, confidence, communication skills, and ability to express themselves in front of an audience. Each contestant will deliver a brief, prepared introduction on stage (up to 60 seconds), allowing judges to learn more about who they are, their interests, goals, and what makes them unique. Contestants will answer an on-stage question as the last phase of competition. This portion allows judges to evaluate each delegate’s ability to think independently, communicate clearly, and respond with confidence and sincerity. Judges will evaluate contestants on confidence and stage presence, communication and public speaking skills, personality and authenticity, clarity and thoughtfulness of their response, and overall presentation and composure.

CASUAL WEAR: This is your chance to shine brightly in your favorite casual wear outfit. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere and showcase your unique flair and modeling skills. Embrace the energy of this lively event and let your individual style sparkle like never before! It's time to radiate confidence and enjoy every moment on stage!

GOWN: Delegates are invited to shine in a breathtaking floor-length gown that reflects their unique style and personality, embodying grace and elegance. It is essential for every delegate to select a gown that inspires confidence and showcases their poise throughout this esteemed event. Ahead of the state pageant gathering, a carefully crafted walking pattern will be revealed, guiding each contestant in their graceful journey across the stage and making every moment magical.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT: At Miss Northern International, we believe kindness extends to our four-legged friends, too! Each contestant is required to donate a minimum of five (5) items to support a local animal shelter. Suggested items include pet food, treats, toys, blankets, towels, cleaning supplies, puppy pads, and cat litter. New items only. We will collect all donations during the MNI State and Sweetheart Pageant and donate them to a local animal shelter. Together, we can make a PAWsitive difference! Kindness First Always!

MISS NORTHERN INTERNATIONAL ELIGIBILITY RULES

• The date of September 4, 2027, determines the competing age for each delegate.

• You must be a citizen of the United States, Canada, or Bahamas.

• You must have an exceptional and upstanding character and uphold the Kindness First Always philosophy.

• Eligibility is limited to contestants who are biologically female or assigned female at birth.

• Additional age division requirement: Miss Division Ages 20-30 (never married), Mrs. Division Ages 21+ (married), Ms. Division Ages 21+ (an unmarried woman that uses this title).

• Family members of the Owner of Miss Northern International, as well as family members of paid team members at Miss Northern International, are prohibited from competing as contestants at the MNI Global Finals. However, this rule does not apply to the Sweetheart Practice Pageants.

• Volunteers and sponsors are fully eligible to participate in all events, as their involvement does not affect competition results.

• Current or former Miss Northern International Global Queens may only win a specific division once. If you are crowned in the Tiny Princess, Jr. Princess, Princess, Preteen, Jr. Teen, or Teen divisions, you must advance to a higher division after your reign ends. In addition, you are required to sit out for one full year before you may compete in a new division. This rule applies to all MNI Global Queens. If you are a reigning or former MNI Global Miss, Mrs., or Ms. Queen, you must wait three years after your reign before competing in the same division again.

​A. MOST PHOTOGENIC: ​​Step into the spotlight with our captivating photogenic competition. To participate, simply submit a professional headshot that showcases your unique charm and personality. Our esteemed panel of judges will be on the lookout for elements such as personality, fashion sense, confidence, beauty, lighting, creativity, and composition. Please note Miss Northern International is a natural scholarship organization. The photo submission should not be heavily edited. Email your headshot photo by March 13, 2027, to missnortherninternational@gmail.com. Contestants may register for the Most Photogenic optional event twice, with a total maximum of two photo submissions allowed. The top five contestants with the highest scores will be honored with an award in the Junior and Senior Divisions.

B. MODELING PORTFOLIO:  Prepare to unveil your professional modeling portfolio, an inspiring testament to your talent and creativity. Your portfolio should showcase a diverse array of photographs that reflect your unique modeling abilities. Present your work in a tasteful printed format within a stylish portfolio binder. The top five contestants with the highest scores will be honored with an award in the Junior and Senior Divisions.

C. FUN FASHION: This is an exciting opportunity to dazzle the audience with your high-fashion ensemble! Step onto the stage with confidence and flair, showcasing your exquisite modeling skills. This is a fun and vibrant event! Let your personality shine! The top five contestants with the highest scores will be honored with an award in the Junior and Senior Divisions.

D. FITNESS: Are you ready to shine on the runway at the fitness competition? Miss Northern International has selected the Fashion Factory to create a stunning custom fitness outfit for this event. This is an optional opportunity. The order information is on a private communication page for the MNI Global Finals. The top five contestants with the highest scores will be honored with an award in the Junior and Senior Divisions.

​​​​AUCTION EVENT 

Miss Northern International is thrilled to host an exciting auction event to expand our fundraising efforts.Unleash your creativity with delightful ideas! Consider putting together a family game night basket with timeless classics like Monopoly and Scrabble, paired with delicious snacks such as popcorn, candy, and cookies. Or, create a pet lover’s basket brimming with toys, treats, and comfy accessories for furry companions. A beauty-themed package overflowing with pampering essentials, skincare products, fragrant lotions, and relaxing bath items would also make a wonderful donation. Additionally, stylish purses or adorable backpacks filled with vibrant, kid-friendly items like coloring books, toys, and games are sure to spark joy. Contestants who donate an auction item will be entered into a drawing for a special prize. This is an optional opportunity to participate. Your contributions can have a lasting impact, and together we can make a meaningful difference. Auction winners will be announced at the event.

Unauthorized reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use of official MNI branding, logos, or merchandise is prohibited without prior written authorization from Miss Northern International. All merchandise featuring official MNI branding must be approved by the organization. MISS NORTHERN INTERNATIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP RULES

Miss Northern State International is a natural scholarship pageant system, and we encourage everyone to showcase their natural beauty. You have the flexibility to style your hair and makeup as you wish. However, we recommend that the Tiny Princess, Jr. Princess, and Princess delegates avoid heavy makeup. Light makeup and hair extensions are permitted in the younger divisions. Eyelashes are allowed for Preteen and up.

DRESSING ROOM 

There are absolutely no males allowed in the dressing room.  No photos or videos are allowed in the dressing room.  Curling irons, flat irons, or any hot hair tools are only permitted in the restroom areas.  Steamers are allowed in the dressing room.

Stylists are reviewed and approved by Miss Northern International. Outside sources are not allowed on-site in the event space.

Admission for the Miss Northern International State and Sweetheart Pageant is $25. Cash, PayPal, and Venmo accepted at the door pending seat availability. Children 5 and under are free admission.

At Miss Northern International, our guiding principle is “Kindness First, Always!” We are more than just a pageant; we are a vibrant sisterhood dedicated to uplifting and supporting one another. We hold our queens, delegates, and their families to the highest standards of morals and ethics, fostering an environment where respect and positivity flourish. Every delegate, parent, and guest are expected to embody kindness in all interactions. Disrespectful behavior such as negative comments or bullying will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from Miss Northern International. PEOPLE'S CHOICE

Get ready for an exciting People's Choice vote featuring all of the State Pageant contestants. The contestant who receives the highest overall votes will be honored as the People's Choice winner and will win an exclusive prize package.  

​

JUDGES AND SCORING PROCESS

The professional panel of judges is refreshed annually for the Miss Northern International Global Pageant, ensuring a dynamic and fair evaluation process. Each judge scores independently, and the tabulation software is managed by a Judges Chairman to accurately determine the winners. If a judge has a personal connection with a delegate, they must waive their right to judge, and the scoring is based on the average of the remaining judges. The Miss Northern International Founder enforces rigorous ethical standards to guarantee that the judging process remains consistent, fair, and equitable at all times. MISS NORTHERN INTERNATIONAL CROWNING

The contestant who achieves the highest score in each division will be celebrated as 2027 State Queen or Sweetheart Queen. The top three state finalists in each division will be recognized with an award.
